He soared 291 m (955 ft.) through the air—about the length of three football fields—before making a smooth landing. Kobayashi was airborne for eight seconds! This was no easy feat. Every four years, the best winter athletes from around the globe converge on one location. The occasion? The Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. Read on to get in the game! TWO NORTHERN CITIES The two main host cities are Milano (also known as Milan) and Cortina d’Ampezzo. Milan is Italy’s second-largest city.
