CALENDAR PAGE When gathering my threads for a design, I place them in order on a calendar page. I use the day number square corresponding with the thread order. If there is a repeat of a color, I note it in the first square: “repeat #__.” I can tell at a glance where I am in the stitching order. Start small before working up to table runners, wall hangings, and quilts. The basic steps, however, are the same. • Place a square of lightweight cutaway stabilizer in the hoop.
