The fantastic SUSE Linux Enterprise Server OS has recently got an official port for the Raspberry Pi 3. Based on the ARM version of the OS, the port will cater for the Model B SBC and will also work in tandem with the Pi’s integrated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functionality. 1 Directories Directories are entries on a file system that contain lists of other files and directories. This happens with the help of inodes, which are data structures that hold information about files and directories. Figure 2 (next page) shows the use of inodes for connecting directories with files.
