Film star John Travolta has donated his Ocala, Florida, USA based Boeing 707 to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) of Illawarra Regional Airport, Wollongong, NSW. The aircraft is a Boeing 707-138B registered N707JT, and adorned on the nose with ‘Jett Clipper Ella’. Flown for many years by Travolta, it last flew in December 2016, and needs maintenance to fly again. One of eleven delivered to Qantas in 1964, the 707 type was the first jet aircraft in Qantas’ fleet, replacing the Lockheed Constellations.
